About The Position

The Cloud Networking Engineer role is essential for ensuring the seamless operation and security of cloud networks, making it a vital position in any organization leveraging Azure technologies. The main focus will be developing and deploying Azure-based network architectures, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in cloud network engineering, with a strong focus on Azure and AWS.
  • Deep expertise in Azure networking services and architecture.
  • Solid experience with AWS networking components and integrations.
  • Hands-on experience with hybrid cloud networking and on-premises network infrastructure.
  • Experience with ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VPN configurations, and BGP routing.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation).
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills for complex network issues.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring and security tools (Azure Network Watcher, AWS VPC Flow Logs, etc.).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain effective and professional relationships across the organization and with customers.
  • High learning agility with the ability to learn and integrate business variables and learn new systems and platforms.
  • Strong analytical skills & problem-solving abilities; solid decision-making abilities coupled with sound judgment.

  • Cloud Networking Expertise: Azure: Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, Route Tables, ExpressRoute, Application Gateway, Azure Firewall, Private Endpoints.
  • AWS: VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Security Groups, Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, Elastic Load Balancing, AWS Firewall Manager.
  • Hybrid Connectivity: Experience with ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, VPN configurations, and BGP routing.
  • Routing and Traffic Management: Proficiency in configuring routing rules, DNS, and traffic distribution across multi-cloud environments.
  • Security Best Practices: Knowledge of network security principles, encryption, and compliance standards.
  • Automation Skills: Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and ability to work collaboratively.

Nice To Haves

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Advanced Networking Specialty) are a plus.
  • Experience with SD-WAN, SASE, or other modern networking technologies.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate, AWS Certified Advanced Networking Specialty, Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with automation scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance and security frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Azure networking solutions (VNETs, VPNs, ExpressRoute, Network Security Groups, Azure Firewall, Application Gateway, Load Balancers, Private Endpoints, etc.).
  • Architect and support AWS networking (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, Security Groups, Route Tables, Load Balancers, etc.).
  • Integrate and maintain hybrid network connectivity between cloud and on-premises environments (Megaport, ExpressRoute, Direct Connect, SD-WAN, etc.).
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance across Azure, AWS, and on-premises platforms.
  • Implement network security best practices (segmentation, zero trust, encryption, firewall policies, DDoS protection).
  • Automate network provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation, etc.).
  • Collaborate with DevOps and application teams to support CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native deployments.
  • Document network architectures, configurations, and procedures for operational excellence and compliance.
  • Participate in incident response and root cause analysis for network-related issues.
  • Stay current with cloud networking trends and best practices; recommend improvements and new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively and accurately convey information to others.
  • Performs related duties as assigned by management.
