About The Position

Cloud Network Operations Engineer The Opportunity: Everyone is trying to “harness the cloud,” but not everyone knows how. As a Cloud Network Operations Engineer, you know how to take advantage of Cloud capabilities. On our team of experienced professionals, you’ll use cutting-edge enterprise Cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their information technology (IT) infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We’re looking for someone like you to help modernize Army systems. You’ll closely collaborate with fellow Cloud architects and engineers specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Azure to support, deploy, and optimize Cloud solution components. You’ll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to manage and deploy container applications and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal AWS labs, you’ll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients’ problems, and you’ll partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions. Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience supporting operations and maintenance for secure information management systems
  • Experience with Linux Operating Systems and command-line interfaces
  • Experience with integrating Palo Alto and Cisco network security components into cloud environments
  • Experience setting up networks and firewalls in Amazon Web Services or Microsoft Azure environment
  • Experience working with access control and network layer administration
  • Experience working with routing policies, network architecture, and IP subnetting
  • Experience working with network protocols and services, including TCP/IP, UDP, BGP, and OSPF
  • Top Secret clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Baseline Certification, including Security+ Certification

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing Palo Alto or Cisco Firewalls with AWS Cloud provider plugins and capabilities
  • Experience with Azure and Azure firewalls and scripting languages, including Bash, Ansible, or YAML
  • Experience with the Windows Operating System, Active Directory, Terraform, Kubernetes, or Docker
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Agile development techniques and ceremonies
  • Knowledge of firewall policy and firewall policy troubleshooting
  • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering concepts
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
