Requirements

  • 7+ years in cloud or network engineering, with deep AWS experience
  • Expert-level understanding of networking (IP, BGP, DNS, firewalls, routing)
  • Strong IaC background (Terraform, CDK, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with multi-account/multi-region AWS setups
  • Proven leadership in driving technical direction and mentoring engineers
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, or similar)

Nice To Haves

  • Kubernetes or container networking experience
  • Hybrid cloud connectivity (on-prem + cloud)
  • Background in security, compliance, or regulated environments
  • Experience contributing to internal platforms or network automation frameworks
  • Understanding of AWS services - Control Tower, Account Factory, Service Catalog
  • Scripting language knowledge - Python / Nodejs

Responsibilities

  • Architect and scale secure AWS networking (VPCs, Transit Gateways, Direct Connect, VPN, Load Balancing, CloudWan, Route53, Route53 profiles ACM, PCA)
  • Automate network deployments using Terraform, CDK, or similar IaC tools
  • Guide and enforce network segmentation, DNS, and traffic routing best practices
  • Lead incident response and troubleshoot complex connectivity issues across environments
  • Manage DNS and IP addressing schemes using Amazon Route 53 and ensure proper integration with on-premises networks
  • Mentor engineers and influence cloud networking standards across teams
  • Drive initiatives around network observability, security, and performance
  • Develop and implement network security policies using AWS Security Groups, Network ACLs, and AWS WAF to control access and protect cloud infrastructure
  • Stay current with AWS networking best practices, emerging services, and industry trends to continuously improve cloud network infrastructure
