The ideal candidate will be an expert in Infrastructure as Code (IaC)—particularly Terraform—and have hands-on experience with GitLab and developing CI/CD pipelines. This role will focus on deploying infrastructure, improving delivery velocity, and supporting the reliability of cloud workloads.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, IAM, EFS, RDS, S3, etc.).
  • Proficiency with Terraform and Git-based workflows (branching, merge requests, version control best practices).
  • Strong background in GitLab CI/CD pipeline design and automation.
  • Security+ Certification.
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, security, and IAM principles.
  • Experience in troubleshooting and supporting production cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure observability (CloudWatch, etc.).
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Associate, or SysOps Administrator).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Experience integrating security scanning and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of cost-optimization strategies, including the use of Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement cloud infrastructure using Terraform and other IaC tools.
  • Build reusable, modular infrastructure templates for consistent and repeatable deployments.
  • Implement automated provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring to reduce manual intervention.
  • Design, build, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Integrate infrastructure deployments into CI/CD workflows to support continuous delivery of infrastructure and applications.
  • Work closely with development teams to optimize pipelines for performance, reliability, and security.
  • Manage cloud environments (primarily AWS) for high availability, scalability, and security.
  • Implement observability best practices—logging, metrics, alerts—to proactively identify and resolve issues.
  • Contribute to incident response, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
  • Apply security best practices (IAM roles, encryption, network segmentation) across all cloud resources.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Defense security regulations.
  • Monitor and optimize resource utilization and cloud spend using AWS native tools and automation.
  • Work cross-functionally with DevOps, development, and security teams to deliver reliable infrastructure solutions.
  • Maintain clear, version-controlled documentation for infrastructure, pipelines, and operational processes.

Benefits

  • Virtual health visits, commuter perks, pet insurance, and entertainment discounts.
  • Annual performance reviews, tuition assistance, and internal career growth opportunities.
  • Generous 401(k) matches, life and disability insurance, and financial wellness tools.
  • Annual awards, service anniversaries, referral bonuses, and peer-to-peer shoutouts.
  • Healthcare coverage, wellness programs, flu shots, and biometric screenings.
