About The Position

We are looking for a new Cloud MFT Architect to join the Axway team! Axway is currently seeking a Cloud MFT Architect who has a high level of technical expertise in industry-leading MFT solution design and architecture for SaaS implementation deployed in AWS or Azure cloud. They will have a proven track record of helping organizations to implement and operate a mission-critical production system. Quality customer support and service delivery will be a top priority for this role.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of Experience with working on MFT solution (Solution Design/ implementation/administration/operations/monitoring)
  • Proficiency in Linux/Unix and Databases (Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL) is a must
  • Experience in working with Product APIs and using them for creating automation.
  • Good understanding of Networking and Communication protocols (FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTPS)
  • Strong hands-on experience operating Kubernetes-based applications in production.
  • Solid expertise with container technologies (Docker) and cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure).
  • Proven L3-level experience in application operations, production support, and incident management.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and root cause analysis skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage directly with customers in a consultative role.
  • Bachelor's or master’s degree in CS/CE or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in working with Ticketing tools like Salesforce, Service Now, and Jira is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Act as operations consultant for Classic and Kubernetes-based application platforms, leading complex incident resolution and technical escalations.
  • Provide guidance on operating, scaling, and optimizing containerized applications in managed cloud environments.
  • Design, review, and support Kubernetes architectures, including clusters, namespaces, RBAC, ingress, networking, and storage.
  • Lead application and platform upgrades, ensuring stability and minimal service disruption.
  • Drive root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend long-term corrective and preventive actions.
  • Perform capacity planning, autoscaling, and cost optimization for Classic and Kubernetes workloads.
  • Plan and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies, testing, and maintenance activities.
  • Mentor L1/L2 engineers and help define operational standards, runbooks, and best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with customers and internal teams on architecture decisions, implementations, and continuous improvements.
  • Participate in on-call and after-hours support as required
