Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining RHEL 6, 7, and 8 server systems.
  • 5+ years of experience designing, developing, deploying, or testing in Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • 5+ years of experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
  • Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Windows server systems.
  • Experience assessing security vulnerabilities in software and systems.
  • Experience implementing, configuring, and monitoring system dashboards using technologies such as Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK Stack.
  • Experience working with containerization, including orchestration, cluster management, and container storage.
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
  • HS diploma or GED.
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience providing operations support to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve time-sensitive system anomalies and failures.
  • Experience developing, configuring, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins and GitLab.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, Perl, or Java.
  • Experience leading a team of engineers to complete complex technical tasks.
  • Ability to balance priorities to independently execute operations support processes.
  • Possession of excellent customer support, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Possession of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • AWS Solutions Architect Associate or SysOps Administrator Associate Certification.
  • RedHat Certified System Administrator or RedHat Certified Engineer Certification.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, configure, and maintain RHEL 6, 7, and 8 server systems.
  • Design, develop, deploy, or test in Amazon Web Services (AWS) using tools such as EC2, S3, ELBs, RDS, VPCs, security groups, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, or IAM permissions.
  • Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, including Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Windows server systems.
  • Assess security vulnerabilities in software and systems, recommend mitigations, perform periodic vulnerability scans, implement vulnerability mitigations, and validate and report on vulnerability monitoring, mitigations, and policy compliance.
  • Implement, configure, and monitor system dashboards using technologies such as Grafana, Prometheus, and the ELK Stack.
  • Work with containerization, including orchestration, cluster management, and container storage, using Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
