About The Position

As a Cloud computing infrastructure architect, you will leverage Cloud capabilities to support clients in modernizing their information technology (IT) infrastructure and meeting challenging missions, specifically for Army systems. You will closely collaborate with fellow Cloud architects and engineers specializing in Amazon Web Services (AWS) to support, deploy, and optimize Cloud solution components. The role involves working within a DevOps framework to manage and deploy container applications, utilizing products like Kubernetes. You will have access to internal AWS labs to explore different ways of solving client problems and will partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver appropriate technical solutions. This includes modernizing legacy computing platforms and applications or creating new ones from scratch, with an emphasis on growing skills at the leading edge of innovation.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience with supporting operations and maintenance for secure DoD information management systems
  • Experience with Linux Operating Systems and command-line interfaces
  • Experience with scripting languages, including Bash, Ansible, or YAML
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience hardening government systems following STIG requirements
  • Experience with the Windows Operating System and Active Directory
  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and some holidays, as necessary
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • HS diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain DoD 8570 or 8140 IAT Level II Baseline Certification within 30 days of employment

  • Experience with Azure
  • Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, or Docker
  • Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Agile development techniques and ceremonies
  • Knowledge of Site Reliability Engineering concepts
  • Bachelor's degree
