Summary of Position Jabil is looking for a Manufacturing Test Developer Intern to join our Cloud Enterprise & Infrastructure (CE&I) team. This internship is a great opportunity for students to gain hands‑on experience supporting real‑world manufacturing and test challenges in a fast‑paced, large‑scale production environment. In this role, you will learn and contribute to projects involving smart manufacturing infrastructure, automated test development, and test optimization. You will help create and improve test cases, analyze data, and prepare reports using Jabil’s global manufacturing test systems. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers within the Global Cloud Test Development (GCTD) organization and gain exposure to modern software tools, data analysis, and emerging ML/AI concepts applied in manufacturing.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Availability to work in Austin, TX from May 18, 2026 to August 7, 2026
  • Basic experience with programming or scripting languages such as Python, Java, or BASH
  • Interest in working with computer hardware and software tools used to control, manage, and test servers, networking, and storage devices (SSD, NVMe)
  • Exposure to or willingness to learn tools and technologies such as IPMI, Redfish, mprime, FIO, Linpack, ptugen, and memtester

Responsibilities

  • Test System Development Support engineers in designing, improving, and running manufacturing test systems. This includes helping create test plans, test cases, and scripts to check how hardware components—such as motherboards, memory, CPUs, storage devices (SSD, HDD, NVMe), and PCIe cards (NICs, GPUs, mezzanine and RAID cards)—perform and function.
  • Smart Test Infrastructure Support: Assist with maintaining and supporting manufacturing server‑level (L10) and rack‑level (L11) test software and infrastructure used in production environments.
  • Documentation: Help create and update clear documentation for server (L10) and rack (L11) test processes, specifications, and infrastructure to support consistent manufacturing operations.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including hardware, manufacturing, and quality engineers, to align on testing needs, requirements, and quality standards.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze manufacturing test data to help identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and potential predictive insights.
  • Statistical and Data Tools: Use basic statistical and data analysis tools to explore and mine large datasets generated during manufacturing testing.
