About The Position

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer in United States. This role is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure environments. You will partner closely with application engineering, security, and data teams to enable rapid product development while ensuring compliance, reliability, and cost efficiency. The position requires hands-on expertise with cloud platforms, infrastructure-as-code, automation, and monitoring, supporting production workloads and SaaS platforms at scale. You will play a critical role in optimizing system performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing best practices that align with organizational goals. This is a collaborative, fast-paced role with impact across multiple technology domains, offering the opportunity to influence cloud strategy and drive operational excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4–6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or site reliability engineering.
  • Hands-on experience supporting production workloads in AWS and Azure.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform strongly preferred) and scripting/automation (Python, Bash, or similar).
  • Knowledge of cloud networking, security architectures, identity management, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, ECS, EKS/AKS preferred).
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Datadog.
  • Ability to design scalable, resilient systems and troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineering, security, and product teams.

Nice To Haves

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect and/or Azure Administrator/Architect certification preferred.
  • Experience in regulated or compliance-driven environments (HIPAA, SOC 2) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure in AWS and Azure using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep).
  • Ensure cloud environments meet security, compliance, and reliability standards, including networking, encryption, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Implement IAM architectures and access controls according to security requirements.
  • Partner with engineering teams to support application deployments, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure issues, improving observability and alerting.
  • Optimize cloud costs through usage analysis, rightsizing, and automation.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation, standards, and best practices for cloud operations.
  • Support SaaS platform scalability and multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud architectures.
