About The Position

As a Cloud Governance Engineer, you will play a key role in defining, maintaining, and enforcing governance standards across enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and identity systems. In this role, you will help ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. You will partner across infrastructure, security, application, and compliance teams to drive consistency in how systems are accessed, managed, and operated. You'll contribute to governance frameworks, support risk identification and mitigation efforts, and help advance automation and tooling to improve efficiency and scalability across the enterprise environment. Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise IT, cloud platforms, identity and access management or security architecture.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise cloud platforms and identity services within large-scale environments.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID (Azure AD)
  • Understanding of access controls, privileged access, and security best practices
  • Ability to translate governance requirements into practical, scalable solutions
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Exposure to audit, compliance, or risk management concepts
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence and guide decision-making
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement

Responsibilities

  • Define and evolve enterprise governance standards across cloud, hybrid, and on-prem environments
  • Establish and maintain frameworks for application lifecycle management, identity and access, and operational ownership
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, application, and compliance teams to promote consistent governance practices
  • Support access governance efforts, including access reviews, privileged access controls, and identity standards
  • Identify and assess risk and help guide teams toward aligned, secure solutions
  • Support audit and compliance activities by ensuring controls are clearly defined and consistently applied
  • Create and maintain governance documentation, standards, and guardrails
  • Contribute to automation and tooling efforts to improve scalability, efficiency, and enforcement
  • Act as a trusted partner across teams, helping translate governance into practical, actionable solutions
