About The Position

Softchoice is seeking an  Cloud FinOps Architect  to expand its Financial Operations (FinOps) and Cloud Economics capabilities. You will support and manage client engagements advising at the highest strategic level with big-picture thinking and tactical guidance on how FinOps enables cloud cost governance and business benefits realization. You must possess financial, technical, and creative thinking capabilities. You will need to be ambitious, innovative, and personable, possessing outstanding leadership qualities in working with our customers.   This roles guide customers through three elements of FinOps – Inform, Optimize, and Operate so that customers can continue to iterate on their own over time. The Associate Principal connects clients to unique perspectives, industry frameworks, and transformative thinking that inspires them to drive the culture of the FinOps capabilities of their business together with Softchoice and the Softchoice partner ecosystem. You will co-create, accelerate, and drive adoption toward optimizing what the client spends and what they use in the public cloud based on customer knowledge and empathy.   As an  Cloud FinOps Architect, you will play a critical role supporting a Team in driving the facilitation of FinOps services, workshops, and customer engagements.   Be an active contributor and play a key role in the end-to-end client engagement – driving awareness, understanding current capabilities, and advancing future outcomes. This involves all business value chain activities, from procurement, finance, cloud engineering, line of business, and executives addressing their needs and valued outcomes. Develop expertise in the capabilities of FinOps technology platforms such as CloudHealth, Cloudability, and Flexera. Connect and align with other Softchoice services and solutions contributors and leaders to drive additional support for our clients and their needs. Facilitate and contribute to service engagements by conducting customer interviews, Lead and conduct workshops and working sessions and creating customer presentations and deliverables. Seeing the big picture with the ability to start small and guide customers through various lenses of strategic, technical, and business benefits of instilling FinOps cultural understanding to continue their innovation independently. You will develop a growth mindset and relish opportunities to use familiar and unfamiliar technologies, technics, and processes. You will embrace FinOps and Cloud Economics practices and contribute to providing feedback to our GTM product team for continual improvements.  Through cross functional collaboration, you will also hone your business and consulting skills through interactions with technical and non-technical colleagues. Finally, you will be an active learner, identifying new or better ways to deliver impact with people and technology.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years experience in IT Finance or consulting in Cloud Advisory & IT Strategy Services
  • Currently Hold or become certified as a FinOps practitioner within 3 months of starting the role and the FInOpsplatfrom (such as CloudHealth)
  • Strong consultative experience within the different domains that make up IT Finance and Public Cloud Consumption
  • Results-driven and goal-oriented
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated, applied experience establishing and delivering advanced workshops, supporting custom projects and holding customer conversations and engagement across engineering, finance, production, and product ownership teams
  • Collecting and interpreting cloud data sets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights, to then communicating findings through customer meetings
  • Passion for presenting, training, teaching, and mentoring customers to establish, build, mature, and ultimately become self-sustaining in their own FinOps practice over time.
