Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing cloud-based solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Proficiency in cloud architecture design principles and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and infrastructure components in the cloud.
  • Experience with cloud migration strategies and tools.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified Architect are desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Strategy Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs, goals, and objectives. Define the organization's cloud strategy and roadmap, aligning it with business strategies. Identify opportunities to leverage cloud services for improved efficiency, agility, and cost savings. Assess and recommend suitable cloud platforms, services, and deployment models.
  • Cloud Solution Design and Architecture: Architect and design cloud-based solutions that align with business and technical requirements. Develop scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures. Evaluate and select appropriate cloud technologies, frameworks, and tools. Design integration patterns for seamless connectivity between cloud and on-premises systems. Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
  • Cloud Infrastructure Management: Plan, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure, including compute, storage, networking, and security components. Optimize resource allocation, scalability, and cost efficiency. Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, ensuring high availability and reliability. Implement automation and orchestration tools for efficient cloud infrastructure management. Stay updated with emerging cloud services, features, and industry trends.
  • Security and Compliance: Develop and implement cloud security strategies, policies, and procedures. Design and enforce access controls, identity and access management, and data protection mechanisms. Ensure designs are compliant with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, or PCI-DSS. Conduct cloud security assessments and vulnerability scans. Stay current with evolving security threats and implement appropriate security measures.
  • Cloud Integration and Migration: Assess existing IT systems and develop strategies for migrating to the cloud. Plan and execute the seamless integration of on-premises systems with cloud-based solutions. Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security during migration. Define and implement data synchronization, replication, and backup strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to minimize disruptions during the migration process.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as developers, operations, and business units. Provide technical guidance and leadership on cloud architecture and best practices. Communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Facilitate workshops, training sessions, and knowledge sharing on cloud technologies. Build and maintain relationships with cloud service providers and technology vendors.
  • Cloud Governance and Compliance: Establish a cloud governance framework, policies, and procedures. Define standards and guidelines for cloud solution development and deployment. Monitor and enforce compliance with established governance policies. Develop metrics and reporting mechanisms to track cloud performance, usage, and costs. Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to architectural standards.
