The Team: We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Leader to join our distributed engineering team in the Financial Services sector. This role is central to fostering collaboration between Development, Client Services, and IT Operations, enabling continuous delivery of secure, scalable, and reliable solutions for our vast global infrastructure footprint and drive adoption of cloud-native practices, with a primary focus on AWS. As a key member of the technology department, the Cloud Engineering Lead will drive adoption of DevOps and Cloud principles, implementing best practices in automation, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure management. The team operates as an incubator for cutting-edge technologies, and the successful candidate will mentor peers while championing operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader to shape Cloud Strategy & DevOps while delivering meaningful impact within a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Cloud Strategy & Architecture: Define and lead the cloud infrastructure strategy aligned with business and regulatory objectives, ensuring scalability, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Cloud Migration & Hybrid Operations: Manage end-to-end migration projects from on-premises to public cloud while maintaining hybrid infrastructure resilience.
  • Security & Compliance Leadership: Oversee implementation of cloud security frameworks, ensuring adherence to industry and capital markets' regulatory requirements.
  • DevOps & Automation: Design, build, and optimize CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment workflows to accelerate delivery and improve reliability.
  • Infrastructure Optimization: Drive monitoring, analytics, and reliability engineering to enhance system uptime, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead, coach, and inspire DevOps and cloud teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Innovation & Technology Evaluation: Assess emerging tools, technologies, and practices to continuously improve cloud delivery, security, and operational excellence.
