About The Position

BCMC is supporting a U.S. Government customer to provide support for onsite incident response to civilian Government agencies and critical asset owners who experience cyber-attacks, providing immediate investigation and resolution. Contract personnel perform investigations to characterize of the severity of breaches, develop mitigation plans, and assist with the restoration of services. We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineer with strong Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) experience to join our DevOps team. This role will be responsible for the design, implementation and testing of cloud-based infrastructure and services, with a focus on Red Hat-based systems across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
  • 6+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, Linux Systems Engineer, or similar role.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
  • Experience with scripting languages (Bash, Python, etc.)

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or ArgoCD
  • Strong knowledge of Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) administration
  • Understanding of networking and security best practices in cloud environments
  • Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift)

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and test scalable, secure cloud infrastructure using Red Hat technologies
  • Implement and test IaaS/PaaS solutions on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Automate provisioning and configuration using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Red Hat Satellite
  • Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with security standards and policies
  • Applying advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision making and execution of mission requirements.
  • Automate infrastructure tasks using Ansible, Terraform, or other Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment.
  • Stay up-to-date with OpenShift and Kubernetes advancements, providing recommendations for improvements
  • Examine and identify efficiencies that can be made to existing procedures, with approval from the customer.
