About The Position

The Cloud Engineer III plays a vital role in designing, deploying, and managing comprehensive cloud solutions within an organization. Develops a deep understanding of advanced cloud management and strategy, including designing for scalability, reliability, and performance. Implements security measures and adheres to compliance standards, participating in audits and trainings when needed. Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc. serves as a holding company with multiple subsidiaries engaged in several lines of business (Technology, Infrastructure & Engineering, Health, Manufacturing, Public Safety, Consulting, and Transportation) for the federal government and commercial enterprises. Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.
  • Advanced understanding of cloud platforms.
  • Experience with AWS or Azure.
  • Experience designing Cloud Solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Experienced in complex networking and security configurations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and a minimum of four to seven (4-7) years relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education / experience.

Responsibilities

  • Works autonomously with the design, development, and deployment of robust cloud solutions to meet business needs.
  • Implements advanced security protocols to ensure compliance with federal standards.
  • Conducts complex compliance audits and guides teams through adherence processes.
  • Leads efforts in automating complex build and deployment processes.
  • Analyzes and optimizes workload performance across multiple cloud platforms.
  • Coaches and mentors junior engineers, bridging gaps in knowledge.
  • Helps lead integration projects involving cloud services and third-party applications.
  • Develops documentation and best practices for cloud infrastructure and architectures.
  • Stays updated with the latest trends and developments in cloud computing technologies.
