About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and DoD cleared Cloud Engineer to support our initiatives in developing and managing robust CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in enhancing our DevSecOps processes, ensuring that all deliverables meet user acceptance criteria while adhering to security best practices. With a strong background in Azure environments and extensive experience in automation tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, and Docker, the ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor in implementing industry standards and driving continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Active DoD Security Clearance of Secret or higher
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline
  • Certification in one or more cloud environments (Azure or AWS) preferred
  • 5+ years of DevSecOps experience
  • 3 years of experience with Azure and other Cloud environments
  • 3 years of experience with Kubernetes in an Azure cloud environment
  • 3 years of experience with application and operating system security
  • 3 years of hands-on experience creating CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Docker, Helm, Nexus
  • 3 years’ hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Ansible and Terraform
  • Experience in Agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Interpersonal and collaborative skills
  • The ability to communicate strategic information security topics, policies, and standards as well as risk-related concepts, to technical and nontechnical audiences at various organizational levels.
  • Knowledge and experience working in DoD Azure environments

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in one or more cloud environments (Azure or AWS) preferred

Responsibilities

  • Work with teams to bring continuous improvement to DevSecOps processes and tools
  • Ensure work product meets user acceptance criteria
  • Manage self-directed assignments
  • Meet schedule deadlines and commitments with a high-level of quality of deliverables
  • Be a trusted automation and tooling advisor for Cloud and DevSecOps initiatives by providing objective, practical and relevant ideas, insights, and advice
  • Recommend and implement industry standards
  • Implement and ensure adherence to security practices and incorporate them into the automated pipelines
