About The Position

Own and evolve our cloud‑based data platform infrastructure end‑to‑end. You’ll administer and harden servers, build automated CI/CD pipelines, operationalize data workflows, and enforce configuration‑as‑code practices. You’ll partner with Product, SRE/Platform, Security, and Data teams to deliver resilient services and frictionless deployments across environments.

Requirements

  • 5–8+ years in Systems/DevOps/SRE/Data Engineering with hands‑on ownership of production environments.
  • Strong Linux/Windows administration and scripting (Bash, PowerShell, Python); performance tuning experience.
  • Expertise in CI/CD (e.g., GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, Coverity) and IaC (e.g., Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation).
  • Deep knowledge of AWS core services (compute, networking, storage, identity).
  • Familiarity with configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet).
  • Experience with Kubernetes (EKS/AKS/GKE), Helm, and service mesh (Istio/Linkerd).
  • Understanding of policy‑as‑code (OPA/Conftest), compliance frameworks (CIS/NIST/ISO), and threat modeling.
  • Background in data governance (catalogs, lineage, RBAC/ABAC), dbt, and data observability tooling.
  • Experience with performance engineering, cloud cost optimization, and SRE practices (SLOs/SLIs).

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Master’s degree or cloud certifications (AWS/Azure/GCP).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills; ability to collaborate with globally dispersed stakeholders and manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Administer Linux/Windows servers (on‑prem, VMs, and cloud IaaS): patching, backup/restore, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
  • Implement high availability, disaster recovery, and monitoring.
  • Manage core networking (DNS, TLS, routing, firewalls, load balancers, ingress/egress) in AWS environments.
  • Enforce security baselines: hardening, vulnerability remediation, least‑privilege access, and key/secret rotation.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications, infrastructure, and data workloads (build, test, release, rollback).
  • Codify infrastructure and configuration using Infrastructure as Code and GitOps practices.
  • Automate routine ops (patching, certificate management, image baking, drift detection, and incident troubleshooting).
  • Define and enforce configuration standards, versioning, and change control across apps, services, and data jobs.
  • Build configuration‑as‑code modules, templates, and policies to ensure consistency and traceability.
  • Maintain artifact repositories and package management; implement release strategies and environment promotion with automated drift detection and remediation.
  • Enable deployment and integration of tools that support data management/governance and developer experience.
  • Collaborate with Data Governance and PMO counterparts to align delivery with process and compliance standards.
  • Drive identity, secrets, certificates, vulnerability management, and audit readiness.
  • Establish logging, metrics, and tracing for system reliability and performance visibility.
