Leidos is looking for a Cloud Engineer to join our team at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, supporting the Department of the Air Force CLOUDworks. This hybrid role offers the flexibility of two telework days per week while contributing to one of the Air Force’s most forward‑leaning cloud modernization efforts. A TS/SCI security clearance is required on day one. In this role, you’ll help shape the future of Air Force cloud capabilities by: Architecting advanced, business enabling solutions for Air Force Commercial Cloud Services (AFC2S) teams using IC ITE services. Guiding Air Force customers through migrations to C2S environments. Integrating all cloud solutions and strategies into the Risk Management Framework and broader business practices. Leveraging your technical understanding to provide guidance about AWS, Azure, IC ITE GovCloud, IC ITE Commercial Cloud Services (C2S), and other federal government community or emerging cloud frameworks. Requirements

  • TS/SCI security clearance on day 1.
  • Current IAT Level II equivalent certification and willing to obtain an IAT Level III certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • Bachelor's degree (experience may be considered in lieu of degree).
  • 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • Cloud services experience (AWS, Azure, IBM, Oracle, Google).
  • Demonstrate experience in transitioning large, complex applications to IC ITE Development, Test, and Production environments
  • Familiarity or experience with programming and infrastructure automation (BASH)
  • Experience in deploying enterprise services such as Domain Name System (DNS), Directory Services, and Host Base Security System (HBSS)
  • Knowledge of Linux and Windows systems
  • Team player capable of high performance and flexibility in a dynamic working environment
  • Ability to work a hybrid schedule, 2 days a week telework ,3 days on-site (subject to change due to mission requirements).

Nice To Haves

  • Python experience
  • Experience designing, developing, deploying, testing in AWS architecture
  • Cloud Architecting experience
  • Familiarity or hands-on experiences with CloudFormation and Lambda
  • Proficiency and experience with AWS developer tools and workflows (AWSCLI, CloudFormation, etc.)
  • Experience with programming and infrastructure automation (JSON, YAML, Python, Terraform)
  • AWS Associate‑level certification or higher
  • Additional industry certifications
  • Familiarity with cloud data and computing concepts
  • Experience implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) for various systems
  • Azure 900 Fundamentals
  • Special Access Program (SAP) experience
  • EIO2024
