As a Cloud Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of technology at RBC and gaining experience building and operating fully managed technology services in a hybrid Cloud environment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and resilient hybrid Cloud services that align with organizational goals.
  • Help conduct performance analysis and optimization of services to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
  • Help identify and implement best practices for resource utilization and scalability in diverse infrastructure landscapes
  • Implement and maintain security measures to safeguard both on-premise and public Cloud environments and data.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for various deployment models.
  • Set up monitoring and alerting systems for proactive issue identification and resolution across on-premise and public Cloud environments.
  • Respond to incidents promptly, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide engineering support in response to incident escalations.
  • Passion for debugging and ensuring resiliency of on-premise and public cloud systems
  • Scripting and automation skills (eg. Shell, Ansible, Python, Terraform)
  • Experience with Linux and container technologies (eg. Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong desire to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Software development experience in Java, Go, Rust
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch, Kafka, or Redis either in a development or operations perspective.

  • The expected salary range for this particular position is $70,000-$120,000, depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.
