About The Position
About Green Project: Green Project is a SaaS-based carbon accounting and ESG management platform. Under increasing pressure from regulators, investors, customers and employees, businesses—especially small and medium businesses—are struggling to calculate and report on their GHG emissions. Using Green Project’s platform, businesses of any size can begin tracking and monitoring their footprints. Ultimately, our platform provides the tools our customers need to begin tracking and reducing their corporate carbon footprint in compliance with the GHG Protocol. Job Overview: Green Project is looking for an experienced Azure Cloud & DevOps Engineer to implement, deploy, and maintain our Azure-based infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines. This role is key to ensuring scalable, secure, and efficient delivery of our application, which leverages Azure Functions and MS SQL. The ideal candidate is hands-on with Azure services, infrastructure as code, and modern DevOps practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years’ experience as a Cloud Engineer or DevOps Engineer in Azure environments.
- Strong knowledge of Azure Bicep and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, MS SQL , and related Azure services.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools (e.g., Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub Actions).
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes on Azure).
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
- Understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting tools in Azure.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills.
Nice To Haves
- Azure certifications (e.g., AZ-104, AZ-400, AZ-204 ).
- Experience with DevSecOps and automated testing in pipelines.
- Passionate about sustainability, decarbonization, or other ESG-related concepts
- Familiarity with SOC2 and related security standards
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure using Bicep and other IaC tools.
- Maintain and optimize cloud environments aligned with architectural designs.
- Deploy new infrastructure patterns and manage system upgrades.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or equivalent) to support frequent, reliable software releases.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate and deploy Serverless Functions and C# .Net /MS SQL-based applications, using Azure App Services and other Azure services.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize infrastructure performance, security, and cost efficiency.
- Ensure best practices in Azure security, networking, and scalability.
