Work Shift: 8 Hours - Day Shifts (United States of America) Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Salary Range: $31.00 - $49.50Pay starts at $31 and increases according to years of applicable experience. Union Position: No Department Details The cloud team has just built enterprise landing zones in Azure and AWS. This team addresses security findings and is migrating more than a dozen legacy workloads into our LZ's. Sanford provides training and certifications for our cloud engineers. Summary Applies extensive knowledge and skills to complete all aspects of cloud based systems from start to finish.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree in computer science, math, engineering, or related field required.
  • Must have 4 years in Windows and Linux server or infrastructure system administration in a large-scale environment.
  • Scripting skills in Powershell, Bash and Python are preferred.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals to support Cloud Infrastructure, Cloud Networks, IaaS, SaaS, PaaS.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with version control repositories, configuration management frameworks and CI/CD pipeline automation tools is a plus.
  • One of more of the following certifications are preferred: • AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer • AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate • Azure Fundamentals • Azure Administrator Associate • Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate

Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of cloud services and products.
  • Create and maintain operational process and general knowledge documentation relating to cloud product deployments.
  • Deploy and administer automated performance and quality monitors.
  • Implement and execute system automation scripts for cloud infrastructure, cloud resources and system configuration.
  • Support migrations of on-premise products to cloud.
  • Interface between application development, application support and infrastructure support teams.
  • Participate in planning, implementation, and growth of our Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure infrastructure.
  • Administer access authentication methods and role-based access.
  • Apply access roles and restrictions to cloud resources according to infrastructure and security policy.
  • Ensure that all systems comply with security and vulnerability standards.
  • Inform other teams on cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training or documentation when necessary.
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design.
  • Troubleshoot issues, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures.
  • Participate in software development lifecycle for cloud solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance.
  • At the direction of Sr Cloud Engineers or architects, implement technical efforts to design, build, and deploy cloud applications and resources.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and provide hands-on support during emergencies, outages, and service transitions.
  • Ability to write technical documentation (platform architecture, strategy, engineering) and work on multiple concurrent complex projects.
