Your expertise will guide the definition, implementation, and delivery of capability focused on Cyber Training systems and Synthetic Environment Generation. You'll have the chance to work with a broad range of systems, providing overall support for various critical systems.   • Support the design, implementation, operation, and maintenance of complex information systems, virtual devices, containerized devices and physical devices in traditional and hyper-converged architectures.
  • Responsible for high-level, day-to-day operational maintenance, support, and upgrades for complex operating systems, workstations and servers.
  • Coordinates, directs and performs complex software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages.
  • Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
  • Continually monitors and tunes multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
  • Ensures workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions of varying complexities.
  • Ensures data/media recoverability by developing and implementing a schedule of system backups and database archive operations.
  • Develops, implements and promotes standard operating procedures and schedules.
  • Conducts audits of systems to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
  • Support the design, documentation, and implementation of enhancements to the system, ensuring that application software, cybersecurity, and operational use cases are fully accounted for.
  • Ensure maximum system uptime and rapidly respond to system failures.
  • Quickly diagnoses operational, performance, or other issues and leads the implementation of resolutions.
  • Proven experience in network administration and account management.
  • Strong understanding of user account management processes and access control protocols.
  • Design and deploy infrastructure: Assist in the design and implementation of cloud solutions on platforms like [AWS, Azure, or GCP] within the Cloud One service provider.
  • Automate workflows: Develop and maintain automation scripts and IaC templates using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible to streamline the provisioning and management of cloud resources.
  • Manage CI/CD: Support and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot: Proactively monitor the health, performance, and cost of cloud resources using tools like CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana. Respond to and resolve incidents related to cloud infrastructure.
  • Ensure security and compliance: Implement and maintain security best practices, access controls (IAM), and governance policies within the cloud environment.
  • Collaborate and mentor: Work with other engineers and stakeholders to define requirements and deliver solutions. Help mentor more junior team members.
  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years of experience or a Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • US Citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain at least a Secret clearance during your employment
  • Active Security+ CE
  • Experience migrating to, designing and Administering in a Cloud One, ECMA, DON Neptune or JWCC managed environment.
  • Relevant cloud certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Google Cloud Professional Cloud Engineer.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools like the ELK Stack, Prometheus, or Grafana.
  • Prior experience with database administration in a cloud environment.
  • Experience Splunk, Security Technical implementation Guides (STIGs), PowerShell, and Group Policies.
  • Experience with Linux.
  • Experience maintaining and configuring local area networks (LAN) and wide area networks (WAN)
  • Experience with Enterprise Virtualization (VMWare, Proxmox)
  • Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, NIST) affecting account management practices.
  • Experience with Active Directory, LDAP, or similar directory services.
  • Familiarity with network security protocols and best practices.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
  • Familiarity with multi-factor authentication (MFA) and password management tools.
  • Experience in Analysis of Alternatives (AoA) for new technologies.
  • Experience with SharePoint Server
  • Experience with DNS/DHCP, IPAM (BlueCat), load balancers (F5), Authentication Systems (Clearpass).
  • Familiar with managing and configuring Dell iDRAC, VMWare ESXI, and VMWare VCenter.
  • Familiar with configuring network devices utilizing Python and Ansible.
  • Experience with enterprise network management tools such as HPNA, SolarWinds, Cisco Smartnet, LiveAction, Splunk, or similar technologies with WAN/SDWAN/SDN system analysis and design documents.
  • Knowledge of ITIL Change & Configuration Management.
  • IAT Level III Certified
