The successful candidate will design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure and services. This role will report to the Chief Technology Officer. The ideal candidate will be motivated by the opportunity to support public agencies, nonprofit organizations, and private companies in transforming their data into actionable insights.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a cloud engineering or DevOps role
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g, Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Proficiency with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Strong scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell)
  • Familiarity with Linux and/or Windows system administration
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., VPC, VPN, DNS, firewalls)
  • Understanding of container technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (e.g., EKS, AKS, GKE)
  • Familiarity with monitoring/logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog)
  • Strong understanding of cloud security and best practices
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Nice To Haves

  • Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator, Google Professional Cloud Engineer)
  • Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid-cloud environments
  • Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions)
  • Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, HIPAA)

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS, Azure, GCP
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates
  • Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and Security teams to ensure reliable and secure cloud operations
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to improve reliability and scalability
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
  • Ensure compliance with security best practices and assist in audits and governance reviews
  • Optimize cloud resources for cost-efficiency
  • Perform cloud integration of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software
  • Engage with customers to provide support with respect to resource access and usage
  • Maintain documentation of infrastructure, systems, and processes
  • Other duties as assigned
