The Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s cloud infrastructure to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable operations. This role supports cloud architecture, automation, system optimization, and provides technical expertise across cloud environments. The Cloud Engineer partners closely with development, cybersecurity, and IT operations teams to support digital transformation initiatives and maintain high service availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 2–4+ years of hands-on cloud engineering or DevOps experience.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, containers, networking, storage).
  • Proven experience with IaC and automation.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking, identity access management (IAM), and cloud security controls.
  • Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.

Nice To Haves

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator (AZ-104)
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
  • Google Associate Cloud Engineer
  • Kubernetes certifications (CKA/CKAD) are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure components across Azure, AWS, or GCP.
  • Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Build and support CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment, testing, and operational workflows.
  • Develop cloud governance processes including tagging standards, cost management, and resource optimization.
  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Manage cloud networking, including VPCs/VNets, firewalls, load balancers, security groups, and DNS.
  • Ensure cloud solutions adhere to cybersecurity best practices and compliance frameworks.
  • Support containerized application environments (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Maintain detailed technical documentation for cloud architecture, integrations, and operational processes.
  • Evaluate emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements or new solutions.
