About The Position

The position involves providing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deployments, updates, and maintenance of cloud environments, including tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Cloud Formation. The role requires managing the IPV6 current state and implementation with multi-cloud deployments, as well as providing engineering support within multiple cloud service providers to meet current and future business requirements. The candidate will also enhance, optimize, administer, support, and analyze cloud hosting infrastructures, contributing to cloud architectural design, analysis, migration, and implementation. Responsibilities include maintaining IT infrastructure, supporting Operation & Maintenance activities, and assisting in building a detailed plan for maintenance of the Concept of Operations (CONOPS). The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining and improving the current network security posture and ensuring software upgrades are performed as needed.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or related field.
  • ASWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, VoIP, Wireless or Google Professional Cloud Architect or similar certification required.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in cloud architecture, design, and implementation.
  • Proven expertise in managing and employing cloud-based systems across public, private, and hybrid environments.
  • Strong understanding of virtualization technologies, containers (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Experience with Cloud security, Cost optimization, and high availability architectures.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for deployments, updates, and maintenance of cloud environments.
  • On-board and migrate new and current Projects/Applications in the cloud.
  • Manage IPV6 current state and implementation with multi-cloud deployments.
  • Provide engineering support within multiple cloud service providers.
  • Utilize and follow guidelines regarding Change Management Processes.
  • Enhance, optimize, administer, support, and analyze cloud hosting infrastructures.
  • Contribute to cloud architectural design, analysis, migration, and implementation.
  • Maintain information technology infrastructure both remotely and onsite.
  • Facilitate proper management of a multi-cloud environment.
  • Engage and support Operation & Maintenance activities.
  • Assist in building and creating a detailed plan for maintenance of the Concept of Operations (CONOPS).
  • Modify and maintain a CONOPS that includes backup scripts and shutdown/restoration processes.
  • Maintain and improve current network security posture.
  • Ensure upgrade of current versions of supported software.
  • Schedule downtime to minimize user impact.
