Cardinal Health, a global leader in healthcare innovation, is seeking a Cloud Engineer to drive the evolution of our enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure. Operating in a multi-cloud, multi-tenant environment, our platform supports thousands of developers across hundreds of teams, powering mission-critical workloads in IaaS, PaaS, and CaaS models. As part of our Cloud Platform team, you’ll help design, orchestration, optimization, and governance of our serverless infrastructure, leveraging GitOps, infrastructure as code, and cloud-native practices to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective services. You will be part of a team of engineers, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, and drive the adoption of serverless technologies to support business objectives. With a deep understanding of cloud-native development and a passion for innovation, you will ensure the team delivers high-quality, reliable platforms while fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement. If you’re passionate about Kubernetes and serverless infrastructure and thrive in solving complex platform challenges, join us to shape the future of healthcare technology.

  • Participate in code reviews, establish coding standards, and ensure adherence to software development best practices within the team.
  • Enforce platform governance using tools like Open Policy Agent (OPA), embedding observability and compliance into all solutions.
  • Act as a technical liaison between the serverless platforms team and other organizations, translating business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Stay current with cloud-native technologies and trends, contributing to Cardinal Health’s cloud strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience preferred.
