About The Position
As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for managing system platforms that are critical to the operations of brokerage, banking, and other enterprise applications. This role involves overseeing the build and upgrade processes, conducting query reviews and tuning, and providing production support for mission-critical systems. You will work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that the infrastructure and administration services are robust and reliable. Your position will require strong collaboration with various teams, including Systems, application and development staff, as well as other engineering and operations groups within the IT organization. Additionally, you will interact with application and business development teams to ensure that the systems meet their needs and requirements. Your responsibilities will include providing support for Linux/Centos servers and infrastructure, both on Amazon Web Services (AWS) and on-site. You will plan and execute upgrades of hardware and applications, as well as conduct tests to ensure that solutions meet documented user requirements. Identifying, analyzing, and resolving system problems will be a key part of your role, requiring a strong troubleshooting skill set, particularly in Linux environments. You will also be expected to have a practical understanding of networking concepts, including network bonding, routing, subnets, UDP, TCP, IP, and VLANs. This position demands a self-motivated individual who can work independently while also being an effective team player.
