As a Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services to ensure optimal performance, security, and scalability for our clients. Key duties include monitoring cloud environments, securing resources, and applying industry best practices for cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to assess and deliver innovative solutions tailored to customer requirements. Additionally, you will contribute to the EAM team, which is directly engaged in the ownership, development, delivery, and maintenance of software solutions for transit asset management.

  • Design, configure, and deploy cloud infrastructure and services to meet business requirements.
  • Monitor, maintain, and optimize cloud environments for performance, security, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for cloud security, compliance, and disaster recovery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services, networking, and integrations.
  • Automate cloud operations using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., ARM, Bicep).
  • Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and integration with cloud services.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and recommend improvements or new solutions.
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and documentation for internal teams.
  • Support the Enterprise Asset Management team by maintaining EAM Product Suite environments.
  • Manage Azure infrastructure, networking, and security policies.
  • Ensure Azure reliability through monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Work with development, support, and project teams on efficient cloud deployments.
  • Assist with cloud governance, security, and cost optimization efforts.
  • Suggest innovative solutions to meet customer needs cost-effectively.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to provide support for maintenance and critical incidents.
  • Travel up to 5% of the time.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience with Azure or other public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Strong knowledge of networking, performance and reliability, and security in cloud environments.
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Network Engineer Associate) are a plus.
  • Familiar with CLI tools such as Azure CLI or Azure PowerShell.
  • Experience with relational databases, including SQL Server, Oracle, or similar systems.
