MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT As a Cloud Engineer Sr Principal, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of our intelligence customer in Chantilly, VA. You will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and optimizing cloud infrastructure that supports scalable, secure, and high‑performing applications. Architect, deploy, and maintain cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms Lead the design and implementation of scalable, resilient, and secure cloud solutions Monitor system performance, troubleshoot complex issues, and optimize cloud environments for cost and efficiency Partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver cloud‑native solutions WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED Bring your technology expertise and drive for innovation to GDIT. The Cloud Engineer Sr Principal must have: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline Experience: 10+ years of related experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles Technical skills: Experience managing AWS and Azure hybrid/multi-cloud environments; experience with RHEL system administration; strong proficiency with IaC tools; solid understanding of networking concepts; experience with containerization, orchestration, and serverless technologies; strong knowledge of cloud security principles and best practices; familiarity with monitoring and logging tools Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/ Poly (or eligibility) US citizenship required Role requirements: DoD 8570 IAT II Certification GDIT IS YOUR PLACE At GDIT, the mission is our purpose, and our people are at the center of everything we do. The likely salary range for this position is $164,382 - $201,250. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or other related analytical, scientific, or technical discipline
  • 10+ years of related experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles
  • Experience managing AWS and Azure hybrid/multi-cloud environments
  • Experience with RHEL system administration
