About The Position

The Cloud Engineer | Infrastructure Engineer role is a long-term contract position within the life insurance sector, focusing on managing and troubleshooting Windows and Azure systems while administering servers. Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, specifically in a Life Insurance setting
• Proven expertise in Azure Active Directory and Azure AD Connect
• Proficiency in managing Azure SQL Database
• Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure DevOps Server, and Azure DevOps Services
• Solid understanding of SAN - Storage Area Network
• Fluency in VMware, VMware Technologies, and VMware Infrastructure
• Ability to perform Network Troubleshooting
• Experience in Server Administration, particularly with Microsoft Windows Server
• Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
• Proficiency in Terraform
• Experience in creating and managing Automation workflows

Responsibilities

• Handle support and debugging for Windows systems
• Employ infrastructure as code concepts and automation tools such as Terraform
• Utilize scripting languages like PowerShell and Python
• Deploy and support Azure AD, AWS, and Azure cloud services
• Manage Azure, Active Directory Domain Services, file structures, and security
• Oversee backup and disaster recovery processes
• Install software in compliance with corporate standards
• Adhere to configuration and change management processes
• Understand computer architecture and operating systems
• Possess basic knowledge of Storage Area Network and Network-Attached Storage technologies
• Work with Virtualization technologies including VMWare.
