About The Position

This is a technical position where the candidate will be responsible for enabling and supporting the Enterprise Public Cloud Platform across multiple projects/business units. The candidate must be able to support and maintain operationalized projects and initiatives built for customers. The candidate will focus on delivering secure, resilient, and compliant cloud environments that enable applications teams to deliver maximum value to the business. With a high focus on automation, the candidate will leverage existing industry best practices as well as lead the development of new best practices to enable technical innovation in the financial services industry. The ideal candidate will be goal-oriented, independent, motivated, self-driven, result-oriented, and act in the best interests of the team as well as the customer. They must act both as a builder and as a support mechanism for our customers, be able to handle multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment and should have the highest level of integrity with a proven track record of success. o Cloud Engineering and Operations – Via automation and other means, implement platform related resources in the AWS Cloud platform. This may include but not limited to certificate, keys, storage, compute, and network resources o Intermediate technical experience in infrastructure design, build and deployment, including private and public cloud, networking, connectivity, storage, virtualization, and access control o Intermediate understanding of AWS networking for enterprise organizations, building of hybrid environments to span existing customer networks o Intermediate software development IaC / script development– Coding and development experience in Terraform and Python is preferred. o Performance Metrics – Support the monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to promulgate success factors for the entire software portfolio. o Risk Management – Experience in managing different audit requirements for compliance and remediating any audit issues that may arise. o Disaster Recovery – Experience in Implementing and testing the DR plans for the DevOps Tools. o Change/Release Management – Knowledge of ITIL tools (e.g., ServiceNow) for operational and service efficiency. o Perform duties & responsibilities specific to department functions or assigned by management. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training
  • Seven+ years of experience in software engineering or IT including at least four years of experience in a role in which the primary responsibility is git based application code development and/or DevOps Engineering and/or the development, maintenance, and support of CI/CD pipelines or appropriate combination of industry related professional experience and education
  • Foundational cloud architecture knowledge
  • Must demonstrate ability to write code
  • Must demonstrate ability to construct basic application build pipeline

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field or comparable IT experience is required
  • 5+ years of technical experience working in IT organizations, preferably in financial services organizations
  • 3+ years of experience in enterprise software development lifecycle management
  • 3+ years of experience in software development, build/release management, & change/incident management
  • 2+ years of experience in a public cloud platform
  • Achieved one of the Public Cloud Associate-level certifications
  • Experience creating runbooks
  • Participation in Agile/Scrum best practices and methodology
  • Ability to be flexible and adapt to any given situation
  • Ability to work under pressure in high stress situations with a calm demeanor
  • Innate ability to provide “extraordinary service” to end clients - as client focus is critical to your success and to the program's overall success

Responsibilities

  • Guide, educate, and provide thought leadership to our delivery teams as related to their optimum adoption of DevSecOps practices and framework.
  • Champion the use of DevSecOps as a strategic asset of culture change to enhance the flow of business value to our clients.
  • Make informed decisions and determine which tool best fits any given situation based on proficiencies with multiple vendor products based on each of the above capabilities.
  • Develop and recommend DevSecOps best practices.
  • Use sophisticated, analytical thought to exercise judgment and design innovative solutions for the most complex components of the DevSecOps lifecycle.
  • Works independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations.
  • Provide technical and process guidance to junior team members.
  • Build and maintain the automation and streamlining of software delivery and operations for new or existing software applications through advanced proficiency and subject matter expertise in vendor tools in the DevOps lifecycle including: a. Infrastructure as Code; Agile and Development Lifecycle Management; Source Code Management; Build Orchestration; Build Management; Artifact Repository Management; Behavior Driven Development; Test Driven Development; Automated Testing including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, Functional Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, Stress Testing, and Performance Testing; Static Code Analysis; Load and Performance Testing; Artifact Scanning; Database Schema Management, Orchestration and Recovery; Compliance Automation and Audit Trails; Configuration Management; Containers; Application Release Automation; Deployment Strategies and Patterns including Blue/Green Deployment, Canary Releases, and Rolling Releases; Logging and Log Analytics; and Performance Monitoring and Management.
  • Liaise with DevSecOps Center for Enablement (C4E) to ensure that Enterprise tools or practices are followed, and to share information about any team specific tools or practices that may benefit other teams.
  • Active participant with the Truist Agile Guild and Agile DevOps Communities of Practice.
