About The Position

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Cloud Engineer to design and develop AWS-based solutions. In this role you will work across several small project teams in helping to shape a DevOps culture. Please apply if you are a talented Data/Cloud Engineer with experience in designing and building data pipelines, data warehousing, and data integration. Familiar with tools such as Apache Beam, Apache Spark, AWS Glue.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of related experience.
  • Ability to design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
  • Experience with provisioning infrastructure as code (IaC) using languages such as Python.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins.
  • Experience with DevOps/Platforms: Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible.
  • Experience in design, developing IaC using Terraform/Cloud Formation/Ansible.
  • Experience with Apache Beam and Apache Spark.
  • Experience with AWS Glue.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience using multiple languages and frameworks (e.g. Python, Java, JavaScript, Vue, or others).
  • Demonstrated experience with developing in Ruby/Ruby on Rails.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy modular cloud-based systems.
  • Provision infrastructure as code (IaC) using languages such as Python.
  • Implement comprehensive DevOps strategies and application requirements.
  • Utilize DevOps tools, such as GitHub and Jenkins, to enable continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Work with Amazon Web Services (S3, RDS, EC2, ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, CloudFormation, etc.), Docker, Ansible.
  • Design and develop IaC using Terraform/Cloud Formation/Ansible supporting a multi-cloud deployment.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
  • Regularly review existing systems and make recommendations for improvements and cost efficiencies.
  • Develop and maintain cloud solutions in accordance with customer best practices and guidance.
  • Work with Agile Scrum based development team.
  • Interact with clients, provide cloud support, and make recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Develop capabilities and updates for Linux-based applications in AWS cloud environments.
  • Ensure recovery, support testing, and conduct O&M activities.
  • Ensure that performance, security, and other requirements are met.
  • Support Security personnel in obtaining and maintaining ATO.
