About The Position

PRISM is seeking a skilled, hands-on AWS Cloud Engineer to play a critical role in the technical migration of our on-premises data center infrastructure and applications to Amazon Web Services (AWS). This position is for an engineer responsible for designing, building, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure cloud environments, with a strong emphasis on Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and integration of essential cloud services. Must have the ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's Degree in a related field is required. Instead of a degree, a combination of education and a minimum of ten (10) years of related work experience that provides the necessary skills and knowledge to perform all the essential job functions is required.
  • At least 5+ years of hands-on experience in the design, development, and implementation of the AWS cloud environment.
  • Proven experience participating in a Data Center Migration from an on-premise environment to AWS.
  • Deep, practical expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS networking services (VPC, Subnets, Transit Gateway, Security Groups, Load Balancers, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with integrating and configuring monitoring and logging tools (e.g., CloudWatch, CloudTrail, third-party solutions).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
  • One or more AWS Associate and Professional certifications are required.

Responsibilities

  • Execute the technical migration of on-premise workloads, data, and services into the AWS cloud environment.
  • Write and maintain robust CloudFormation or Terraform scripts for Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to ensure automated, repeatable, and consistent provisioning of cloud resources.
  • Responsible for the integration of cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS) and essential Enterprise tools, including monitoring, logging, and development tools.
  • Architect, create, and maintain all AWS networking components across the enterprise, including: VPCs, Subnets, Security Groups, and Network ACLs. Configuration of VPN, Peering Connections, NAT Gateways, Internet Gateways, and Transit Gateways. Set up and management of Load Balancers (ALB/NLB) and routing tables (IP-tables).
  • Manage core AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and Lambda, as well as other relevant components, to support migrated applications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Cyber Security team in periodic reviews of the cloud security posture to implement and enforce strong security best practices.
  • Implement and use current or new tools to monitor the environment, utilizing native AWS services such as CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and other service-specific monitoring solutions.
  • Ensure all deployed infrastructure adheres to established security policies, compliance standards, and operational best practices.
