The Cloud Engineer at Teradata is responsible for designing, developing, and deploying features and services on cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, and Google Cloud Platform. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure high availability and reliability of cloud services, while adhering to Agile and DevOps principles. The engineer will also be accountable for maintaining documentation and managing the lifecycle of cloud applications.

  • Design, develop, and deploy features and enhancements for cloud platforms.
  • Develop and debug code, writing unit and end-to-end test cases.
  • Participate in Scrum meetings and interact with stakeholders.
  • Maintain reliability for high-volume, high-availability platforms.
  • Analyze and solve complex issues in existing and new code.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Scrum Masters, Developers, and DevOps teams.
  • Ensure documentation and lifecycle management are maintained.
  • Deliver results with enthusiasm and personal accountability.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Advanced understanding of cloud infrastructures on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Deep understanding of cloud concepts such as regions, zones, VMs, and containers.
  • Experience in developing Microservices architecture using RESTful Services and Ansible Scripts.
  • Expertise in IP networking principles, DNS, and load balancing.
  • Experience with Linux Operating System.
  • Knowledge of modern web frameworks and tools like REST, Django, Flask, Angular, React, etc.
  • Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (Java, C++, Node.js, etc.).
  • Experience with automated deployments and source code management tools (GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, etc.).
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external partners.
  • Deep passion for quality and customer focus.
  • Proven experience building services on public cloud platforms.
  • Proficiency with SQL and relational data modeling.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud platform-related certifications.
