About The Position

The Cloud Economist at Nutanix plays a crucial role in collaborating with sales representatives and internal teams to provide clients with financial and business justifications for implementing Nutanix Enterprise Cloud solutions. This position focuses on financial modeling to help clients understand the transformative potential of Nutanix's offerings, ultimately driving increased revenue and sales conversion rates. The role involves engaging with customers to develop compelling financial business cases and supporting various teams within Nutanix in economic-related customer engagements.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in Sales, Consulting, or a similar customer-facing role.
  • Demonstrated financial modeling capabilities in an IT context, including ROI and TCO analysis.
  • Strong financial acumen to present Nutanix's value proposition through quantitative analysis.
  • Ability to extract a customer's unique financial and operational pain points and align solutions accordingly.
  • High level of specialized sales and product solution knowledge.
  • Knowledge of financial budgeting practices and software purchasing.
  • Experience selling IT-related software, services, or infrastructure.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience; MBA is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with public cloud providers and traditional IT vendors.
  • Ability to explain complex problems and solutions in a concise and compelling manner.

Responsibilities

  • Work with Nutanix and Partner reps to identify suitable accounts for Enterprise Agreements and Financial Value Selling.
  • Present complex financial topics and offerings to customer decision makers.
  • Build custom Enterprise Purchase Agreements and Financial Models to support sales engagements.
  • Utilize detailed TCO and ROI models to help clients understand the economics of Nutanix Enterprise Cloud.
  • Review existing customer installations and associated options in the context of client strategy and objectives.
  • Provide enablement to sales teams on leveraging Nutanix purchasing frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Nutanix Financial Solutions partners to offer financing options as needed.
