Our work matters, and so will you. We ask that every new hire be able to: Contribute meaningful thought leadership — if not right away, over time Interact with our customers and earn their confidence in your abilities Be detailed, even if that means taking a little more time to get it right Contribute their ideas and ideals to improve all aspects of our company Allow us to invest in their education so we both grow together Know and live our core values every single day šŸ’” About this Role You're a software developer at heart — but somewhere along the way, you realized that writing code is only half the battle. The other half is architecting secure, scalable environments so that code actually runs. That's exactly what this role is about. As a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer on our CNMF DAT team, your primary objective is to make life better for both mission customers and development teams. You'll own the design, deployment, and security of cloud infrastructure that enables vital mission cognizance and automated workflows. You'll be dropped into customer spaces, handed complex architectural challenges, and trusted to build resilient systems that hold up under real operational pressure.

Requirements

  • 12 years of relevant experience , with a B.S. in a technical discipline — or 16 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • Python proficiency: You're a developer at heart and know your way around Python
  • Cloud expertise: Deep, battle-tested experience with AWS and/or Azure
  • Infrastructure as Code: Strong proficiency with Terraform or Ansible
  • Sysadmin chops: A solid foundation in system administration and Linux
  • Git workflows: Familiarity with GitLab for version control, CI/CD pipelines, and collaborative development
  • An active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI-assisted software development or engineering workflows
  • Proficiency with agentic AI harnesses and frameworks for automating complex, multi-step infrastructure tasks
  • Knowledge of end-to-end SIGINT collection and analysis systems
  • Experience with production CNO (Computer Network Operations) capabilities and operations
  • Service containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes

Responsibilities

  • Automate Everything: Write Python scripts and automation to connect disparate systems. If you have to do it twice, you automate it.
  • Architect the Cloud: Design, build, and maintain robust infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure — ensuring our solutions are as scalable as they are secure.
  • Treat Infrastructure as Code: Manage deployments and configuration via code. Clicking around a web console manually is not the move.
  • Bridge Dev and Sec: Embed security into the pipeline from day one — keeping us compliant without grinding development to a halt.
  • Elicit Requirements: Talk directly with end-users and developers to surface their true infrastructure needs — helping them build what they actually need, rather than what they think they want.
