About The Position

ECS is seeking a Cloud Developer - Senior to work in our Washington, DC office. Research, architect, develop, and modify enterprise-scale cloud applications and infrastructure with a focus on automation, security, and maintainability Collaborate and support the planning of system and development deployment as well as meeting software compliance standards with a particular focus involving integrations and data analytic solutions. Design and implement solutions leveraging modern DevOps tools and practices, including infrastructure as code, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines Translate complex requirements into modular, testable components and technical documentation Support the ongoing maintenance, performance tuning, and security hardening of applications Contribute to Agile ceremonies, sprint planning, and iterative delivery cycles

Requirements

  • Must have a current Top-Secret Clearance with the capability of obtaining SCI CI-Poly if needed to meet contract requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience designing and deploying large scale distributed environments within commercial cloud environments (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation or Terraform
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies including Docker and AWS Fargate
  • Hands-on experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab or Jenkins
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking fundamentals (e.g., NACLs, security groups, routing tables)
  • Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences verbally and in writing to design efficient and effective applications.
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting skills to resolve complex issues in distributed cloud environments
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an Agile team structure
