As a Cloud Data Engineer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of CMS. You will play a crucial role in ensuring CMS and the application owners have the information needed to make the hybrid cloud efficient, effective, and secure. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT: Support activities related to implementing approaches for analyzing cost and usage information including modeling, visualization, reporting, and analytics. Collaborate with other Full-Stack Cloud, Data, Security, and FinOps experts to build on each other's skills and achieve program milestones Drive data collection, transformation and delivery, develop data models, develop governance and security, and apply machine learning with artificial intelligence to enhance data value Utilize AWS data lake, ETL, and analysis tools to develop and maintain data pipelines and accurately translate data models. Design, implement, test and maintain the ETL, ODBC, and/or API processes to ingest and prepare data for analysis Analyze internal and/or industry data using statistical techniques and provide reports/feedback Access data, cleanse data, perform statistical analysis, visualize data and communicate results Identify, analyze, and interpret trends in multiple data sets Assist with collecting and reviewing financial data from various Cloud sources Perform technical analysis to help Business Owners determine the impact of cloud adoption Providing financial analysis on AWS services to determine areas of optimization Create, maintain, update financial deliverables Data analysis using deep understanding of Cost and Usage reports Assist with validating and improving BI Dashboards (e.g., QuickSight, PowerBI) Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architectures. Develop and conduct tests to ensure data solutions meet documented user requirements. Collaborate with team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into automated processes. Work with stakeholders including the Executive, Product, Data and Design teams to assist with data related technical issues and support their data infrastructure needs.
