As a Senior Cloud Cybersecurity Engineer, you know how to assess and implement requirements that ensure the safety of information systems and protect them against intentional or inadvertent access or destruction. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud environments, such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, with a strong emphasis on container security and adherence to the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF). Your technical expertise will be vital as you work to ensure standards are met with information assurance and security requirements. This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to secure your customer’s environment. You’ll continue to strengthen your skills in government cyber security and cloud security while mentoring tomorrow’s cloud security experts.

  • Guide the development of cloud-based security architectures for critical systems.
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud environments.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
  • Mentor junior cloud security engineers.
  • Utilize advanced cloud security skills to improve security measures.
  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity.
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud security in an enterprise environment.
  • 3+ years of experience securing containerized applications and orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Docker.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting the DoD RMF A&A process, including authoring SSPs, POAMs, and performing STIG assessments.
  • Experience in securing a major cloud provider, including AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, including Python, PowerShell, and Bash, for automation.
  • Knowledge of network security principles, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and secure network design in cloud environments.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification.
  • Experience with multi-cloud in DoD Government or GovCloud regions.
  • Ability to translate complex security requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Cloud security certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Azure Security Engineer Associate, or GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer.
