As a cloud computing application architect, you know how to create a cloud-based technical architecture that meets client needs and takes advantage of cloud capabilities. You will support the system's architecture and help develop cloud-based solutions for some of DoD's toughest problems. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with modern software to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You'll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the current environment and knowledge of various on-premise, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You'll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. Additionally, you'll broaden your skill set in areas like automation and cloud-based security while developing critical systems for Naval programs.

  • 5+ years of experience with Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Cloud applications or infrastructure.
  • 3+ years of experience with building, deployment, release automation, or orchestration as part of a CI/CD process.
  • Experience working with microservices and containerization, including orchestration, cluster management, and container storage with tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher.
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code environments such as automated server or network configurations, large-scale software deployments, or monitoring and testing, including CI/CD.
  • Knowledge of Docker, OpenShift, or Kubernetes.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Ability to obtain a Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire date.
  • Experience identifying and implementing automation to improve user experience.
  • Experience with scripting in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Groovy, or Ruby.
  • Experience with system integration using a variety of protocols, including JSON, REST, and XML.
  • Experience leveraging JSON, YAML, or XML for configuration.
  • Experience with the OWASP Software Assurance Maturity Model or DevSecOps Maturity Model.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Cloud Certification, including AWS, Certified Solutions Architect Associate, Google Certified Professional - Cloud Architect, or MCSE - Cloud Platform and Infrastructure.
