Role Overview The Cloud Automation Engineer is responsible for designing and delivering zero-touch provisioning across Risepoint’s multi-cloud environments. This role builds reusable reference architectures, automates governance and security guardrails, and ensures that developers can launch compliant infrastructure rapidly and securely. You will be the hands-on expert in Terraform and CI/CD integration, driving automation that reduces toil and accelerates delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years in cloud automation, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering.
  • Proficiency with Terraform and other IaC frameworks (ARM/Bicep, CloudFormation).
  • Experience integrating CI/CD with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
  • Strong scripting skills in Python, PowerShell, or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of cloud governance and compliance frameworks.
  • Experience with monitoring and security tooling integration into automation pipelines.
  • Ability to produce clear documentation and architectural diagrams.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates across Azure, AWS, and GCP.
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines that embed security, tagging, monitoring, and backup controls.
  • Continuously update reference architectures to align with cloud-native best practices.
  • Implement drift detection, automated remediation, and policy-as-code guardrails.
  • Enable developers to launch approved infrastructure securely via CI/CD release processes.
  • Integrate IaC workflows with CMDB and IAM for full traceability and compliance.
  • Document and diagram automation processes to support training and governance.
  • Collaborate with Cloud Platform Manager and developer teams to streamline provisioning.
