About The Position

This position is contingent on a future opening with Gunnison. Salary: $170,000 - $190,000/year Key Responsibilities: Cloud Architecture Design: Design and implement cloud architecture solutions that meet the organization’s needs for scalability, reliability, and security. Develop and document cloud strategies, including cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Manage and maintain cloud infrastructure, ensuring it meets performance, security, and compliance requirements. Oversee cloud migration initiatives, including planning, execution, and validation. Security and Compliance: Implement and manage cloud security measures to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Conduct regular security assessments and audits of cloud infrastructure. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with IT staff, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and provide cloud-based solutions. Provide technical guidance and support for cloud-related issues and projects. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud performance, including resource allocation, cost management, and system performance tuning. Implement and manage cloud monitoring tools to ensure optimal performance and availability.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in IT, with at least 3 years focused on cloud architecture and cloud-based solutions.
  • Proven experience with cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure
  • Experience with cloud migration projects and cloud infrastructure management.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation.
  • Certification in relevant cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Master's Degree in related field or commensurate experience (+6 years OR Bachelor's Degree+2 years additional experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Proficiency in cloud architecture design and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust.
