This program is all about transforming how the federal government manages its spectrum systems — bringing in better technology, smarter automation, and improved interoperability across agencies. Your work will directly support that mission by keeping the cloud infrastructure that powers it all in top shape. What You'll Be Doing Day-to-day, you'll be managing and maintaining Windows and Linux servers in the Azure Government cloud — handling everything from system configuration and patch management to user accounts and access permissions. You'll apply least privilege principles, integrate systems with Azure Active Directory, and ensure multi-factor authentication is properly in place for cleared personnel. Security and compliance are a big part of this role. You'll validate that system changes meet DoD requirements by applying DISA STIGs and hardening guidelines, and you'll stay on top of vulnerabilities identified through system scanning. On the automation side, you'll use tools like Ansible and PowerShell to take the repetitive work off your plate — provisioning servers, configuring roles, and backing up system configurations. You'll also monitor system performance through Azure Monitor, respond to alerts, conduct root cause analyses, and maintain solid backup and disaster recovery procedures — including periodic restore tests to make sure COOP objectives are met. A Few Things to Know About This Role: This is a hybrid position based out of Washington, DC. You'll need to be comfortable working independently while staying closely aligned with the broader team. Experience in federal or state government environments and working in Agile/Scrum settings is a real plus, as is familiarity with MS Visio for keeping architecture diagrams current.
