As the Cloud Architect for IS Database Services, you will lead the strategy, planning, design, and engineering of complex enterprise data platforms, both in the cloud and on-premise. You will provide architectural guidance and thought leadership, utilizing your expertise in various database and cloud technologies. Your role will involve supporting and improving existing database platforms while advising the team on industry trends and new technologies to advance our cloud journey. You will architect solutions that offer reliable, scalable, and cost-efficient advantages to stakeholders, and you will be responsible for early project engagement based on our project management methodology. Additionally, you will participate in our IS Architecture Center of Excellence.

Strategizes, leads, designs, engineers, and supports cloud and enterprise database platforms.
Provides thought leadership in architecture and administration of Oracle technologies.
Guides and architects additional cloud and database technologies such as AWS, Databricks, Postgres, Redshift, MySQL, and NoSQL.
Assists in planning and implementation of the company's Enterprise technology roadmap.
Researches and evaluates new technologies and platforms for business value.
Executes and promotes security and audit policies and best practices.
Influences team on best practices for infrastructure as code and automation.
Participates and leads in the IS Architecture Center of Excellence group.
Collaborates on administration tasks including automation, security, compliance, backup, recovery, and performance tuning.
Provides 24x7 production database support on a rotating basis.
Builds team capabilities through mentoring, training, and shared learning resources.

7+ years of Oracle enterprise database/technology administration experience.
3+ years of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) advanced technical proficiency experience.
3+ years of cloud database architecture experience.
3+ years of architecting cloud-based business systems.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing platform.
Experience in security best practices.
Experience with UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code using automation, scripting, and orchestration tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrates capability to solve unique and complex problems.
Ability to think conceptually and adapt to new situations.
Strong mentoring and coaching ability.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Customer service mindset.

Experience with Oracle Fusion Applications for ERP, EPM, and IAM.
Experience with Oracle RAC and Exadata environments.
Knowledge of databases used in the cloud like Postgres and platforms like Databricks.
Experience with ServiceNow CMDB for data platform maintenance.
Knowledge of Cloud Active Directory authentication, like Azure Entra.
Understanding of Intranet and Extranet Architecture and F5/Load Balancing concepts.
