About The Position

We are seeking a Cloud Architect & Infrastructure Lead to design, manage, and optimize cloud and data infrastructure for a federal agency. This role is critical to delivering a high -availability, scalable AWS GovCloud environment supporting mission -critical operations.
The CAIL will lead infrastructure design, oversee DevSecOps implementations, and ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.

Requirements

• Active Top Secret Clearance / Favorably adjudicated Tier 5 investigation
• Must be able to support on -site work in the National Capital Region
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field
• 6+ years DoD/Federal IT architecture or infrastructure experience
• 5+ years AWS GovCloud architecture and infrastructure support
• 5+ years supporting cloud architecture in DevSecOps and Agile environments
• Possess at least one of the following certifications: CGRC, Security+, CISM, CISSP, CASP+, GSLC

Nice To Haves

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional
• Deep understanding of cloud operations and cybersecurity compliance within DoD environments
• Expert knowledge of DoD CC SRG Impact Levels 2, 4, and 5
• Experience with high -availability and disaster recovery planning

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage information systems, networks, storage, and applications within AWS GovCloud.
• Provide high -availability and scalable system architecture, integrating cybersecurity best practices.
• Ensure IT infrastructure supports mission -critical operations 24/7.
• Utilize Agile development methodologies for deployment of new technology or upgrades.
• Apply user -centered design principles to technology solutions.
• Manage teams of IT and cybersecurity professionals.
• Maintain operational excellence in cloud infrastructure, including monitoring, performance tuning, and disaster recovery planning.
