Cloud Architect, AWS is responsible for guiding our customers through their Cloud transformational journey to Amazon Web Services. You will work with traditional datacenters, Hybrid Cloud environments, and advanced Cloud solutions. Working alongside a team of sales professionals at Softchoice, you play a vital role in architecting solutions to accelerate our customers' transition to the cloud. As an ambassador of the Softchoice brand, you will represent our value as one of North America's top solutions providers by unlocking our customers' potential.

Requirements

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate is a requirement
• Technical background with 3+ years of industry experience or its equivalent
• You experience great delight in empowering organizations with the technology they want and need to grow their business
• You have a knack for guiding people to the right solution to satisfy their business outcomes
• You are always curious about new technologies and how they impact our customers' business
• You take great pride in your (internal/external) customer experience and are known as being responsive, collaborative and a trusted advisor
• You make people feel heard and important regardless of their rank through your inclusive communication skills, whether written or verbal
• Cloud and Infrastructure Skillset
• Landing Zone with Control Tower
• Migrations
• App Modernization
• Business transformation concepts and strategies
• Cloud security
• Governance
• General computing concepts (IaaS and PaaS)
• Development & DevOps concept
• Traditional datacenter computing (conceptual knowledge)

Nice To Haves

• Formal sales training or Account Management experience is an asset
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience in services pre-sales is a plus

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with AWS Account Executives, AWS Presales Specialists, and other AWS Cloud Architects to support our customers with their journeys to AWS.
• Bring people together by acting as a bridge between our sales team and our customers. Share up-to-date insights on the latest productivity solutions from Amazon.
• Formulate solid approaches to address business challenges and outcomes, present and host workshops and proposal reviews with business leaders and translate technical jargon into layman's language to meet business outcomes.
• Confidently challenge customers by using your skills, insight, and experience to help our customers see what it takes to do the right things versus simply doing things right.
• Create an excellent experience for our customers and your internal stakeholders with responsive and adaptable communication skills that foster a collaborative environment.
• Document the agreed-upon solution through well-written, thoughtful, and detailed statements of work.
