For this position, we are seeking a talented individual to join AIS as a QA Engineer. Core Knowledge & Skills: Applies test automation basics, advanced testing techniques, performance testing, and Agile methodologies; uses tools like Selenium and JMeter. Work & Complexity: Designs and executes complex test cases, analyzes defects, develops automation scripts, and collects/report metrics. Quality & Independence: Conducts thorough testing, maintains consistency, seeks process improvements, and works independently on routine tasks. Teamwork & Communication: Participates in team projects, shares best practices, coordinates with other teams, and mentors juniors. Consulting & Engagement: Advises on test strategies, analyzes defects, suggests process improvements, and mentors junior testers. As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Cloud Application Tester - Mid. Project Summary AIS is supporting a new Leidos account focused on architecture and infrastructure services in the Boston/Hanscom area. This is a subcontract engagement (approximately 15% workshare) with significant near-term hiring demand (~50 roles) to support federal mission delivery. Roles are primarily remote, with Massachusetts candidates preferred and availability targeted for March/April.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of relevant experience supporting enterprise cloud and/or infrastructure environments.
  • Certifications: IAT-2, 1 or more cloud certifications.
  • Able to obtain a minimum of a Secret security clearance; active Secret preferred.
  • Experience working in regulated environments and following secure engineering / documentation practices.

Nice To Haves

  • Active Secret clearance (or higher).
  • Massachusetts-based candidate or ability to support periodic on-site needs at Leidos sites in Concord or Tewksbury, MA.
  • Experience supporting DoD/IC programs and mission systems.

Responsibilities

  • Performs activities related to cloud systems verification and validation - functional test, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies for hardware and software specifications
  • Utilize trends and metrics to identify opportunities for improvements within existing frameworks, tools and processes
  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures for cloud-hosted applications and services.
  • Coordinate with engineers to validate requirements, interfaces, and defect remediation.
  • Automate repeatable test activities where feasible and document results for audits and stakeholders.
  • Track defects, perform regression testing, and support release readiness decisions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes, tooling, and metrics.
