About The Position

Booz Allen has an opportunity to showcase your talents by supporting the United States Air Force. We're looking for a Cloud Application Architect to join the team. You'll work in a cloud or software engineering role, working with teams to leverage and expand your client's capabilities. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to translate customer needs, and assist others in migration and solutioning of mission critical capabilities. You'll be responsible for working with current and new software development teams, understanding their architecture and development environment tooling to develop onboarding paths to your client's platform. You should have expertise in AWS cloud, databases such as SQL and NoSQL, networking, architectures, and common design patterns such as event-driven architectures and microservices. Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with architecting or developing scalable, reliable cloud-native applications within AWS
  • 1+ year of experience building cloud-native microservice full-stack applications such as frontend, backend, and data storage solutions
  • 1+ year of experience working with DoD STIGs or CIS Benchmarks such as hardening virtual servers and adhering to security controls
  • 1+ year of experience with IaC, including Terraform and Ansible
  • Experience troubleshooting cloud-native application deployments and configurations, and troubleshooting application code and configurations
  • Ability to work independently while leading others, work across development teams, and work in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree
  • AWS Solution Architect Associate Certification
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification such as Security+ Certification, within 60 days of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AWS EC2, EKS, ECS, ECR, S3, SQS, SNS, RDS, DynamoDB, KMS, SSM, ELB, VPC, or Route53
  • Experience with cloud-native account management services such as AWS Organizations
  • Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server operating systems
  • Experience with vulnerability management and dynamic or static code analysis
  • Experience in Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering
