About The Position

We're looking for a Cloud Application Architect to join the team and work in a cloud software engineering role, working with teams to leverage and expand your client's capabilities. You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, be able to translate customer needs, and assist others in migration and solutioning of mission critical capabilities. You'll be responsible for working with current and new software development teams, understanding their architecture and development environment tooling to develop onboarding paths to your client's platform. You'll have expertise with multiple cloud providers, work independently while leading others, and work across development teams. You should be able to work in a fast-paced, agile environment. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with architecting and developing scalable and reliable cloud native applications such as AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle.
  • Experience with building cloud native microservice full-stack applications such as frontend, backend, or data storage solutions.
  • Experience in working with DoD STIGs or CIS Benchmarks, including hardening virtual servers or adhering to security controls.
  • Experience with IaC such as Terraform or Ansible.
  • Experience with troubleshooting cloud native application deployments and configurations.
  • Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Cloud Certification, including Azure, AWS, Google, or Oracle Certification.
  • Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAT II Certification such as a Security+ Certification, within 60 days of start date.
  • Ability to obtain a Cloud Architect Certification, within 6 months of start date.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with working in a multi-cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, Google, or Oracle.
  • Experience managing and configuring Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server operating systems.
  • Experience with vulnerability management and dynamic or static code analysis.
  • Experience in Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID.
  • Experience with Cloud Native services such as virtual servers, database services, and networking infrastructure.
  • Experience with Cloud Native account management services such as AWS Organizations or Azure Management Groups.
  • Possession of excellent communication skills.
  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in CS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.

Responsibilities

  • Support the United States Air Force in cloud architecture and software engineering.
