About The Position

The Cloud Administrator I is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and reliability of the organization’s cloud and on-premises infrastructure environments. This role assists in managing cloud-based services, maintaining legacy systems, and supporting day-to-day infrastructure operations. The position works closely with infrastructure engineers, security teams, and application owners to ensure systems remain secure, available, and properly maintained. The Cloud Administrator I will perform routine operational tasks such as patching systems, responding to service requests, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and supporting cloud-related projects.

Requirements

Experience supporting cloud infrastructure platforms in Microsoft Azure
Basic understanding of virtual machines, storage, networking, and identity management
Familiarity with Windows Server administration and system maintenance
Experience with patch management and system updates
Understanding of infrastructure monitoring and troubleshooting techniques
Ability to work within an IT service management or ticketing system
Strong problem-solving and documentation skills
Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and business stakeholders

Responsibilities

Assist in the administration and maintenance of the organization’s cloud infrastructure.
Support the configuration and monitoring of cloud services and resources.
Participate in cloud infrastructure projects including system deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
Monitor system performance and availability across cloud platforms.
Assist with implementation of cloud best practices related to security, availability, and cost management.
Maintain and support legacy on-premise systems and infrastructure components.
Perform routine server administration tasks including system configuration and maintenance.
Support hybrid connectivity between on-premise infrastructure and cloud services.
Assist with infrastructure modernization and migration initiatives.
Perform regular system patching and updates for servers and infrastructure components.
Ensure systems remain compliant with organizational patch and security policies.
Coordinate maintenance windows and system updates with internal stakeholders.
Respond to infrastructure-related service requests and support tickets.
Troubleshoot system issues related to servers, cloud services, and infrastructure components.
Escalate complex issues to senior engineers when appropriate.
Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
Assist in infrastructure and cloud-related projects.
Support system implementation, configuration, and testing activities.
Work with internal teams to ensure infrastructure requirements are met for new systems or services.
Maintain infrastructure documentation including system configurations and procedures.
Contribute to operational runbooks and technical documentation.
Follow established operational and change management procedures.
